Hear It From Me

My name is TeNita Ballard, and I'm passionate about God, my family, good eats, travel and diverse storytelling. I live in Los Angeles, was raised in Watts, CA. and I'm a world traveler. My secret sauce is the seasoning that I bring to each conversation and my ability to authentically relate to many. As we take this journey together, I pray that you will allow me to sprinkle you with content that will feed you physically and spiritually. Know that when you read "sprinkle," I'm actually saying it in my E40 voice; google it LOL (the clean version HA). 

Chapter 39 is my blog, and it's the next chapter of Seasoned To A Tee (STAT). STAT was birthed during a global and racial pandemic. My goal at the time was to bring balanced but BOMB meals to my community while paying homage to my grandmothers. As I would provide meals to people, I found myself praying for them as well. That's when I realized that it was more to this venture. I wasn't just feeding people physically but spiritually as well. 

With adding another chapter, I'll be adding another goal, and that's to bring comfort to the strong friend. I want to help you find your voice and stop suffering in silence. I know all of this too well because I've been the "strong" one in friendships, relationships, and family. I did this while dealing with my own issues; wait, I actually wasn't dealing with my problems because I put everyone's needs around me first. I would show up with a big smile on my face time and time again until I had no choice but to deal with them. I'm thankful for finally choosing me, seeking the help that I needed, and allowing God to do the work.
